The business that operates the kiosk at the southern end of Dilworth Park is Brulee Catering. The ten Philadelphians who are employed there are employees of Brulee Catering. Brulee, which is locally based, has a license agreement that enables the cafe to sell Starbucks products, just as sporting goods stores might sell branded team merchandise, but it is neither owned nor controlled by the teams whose merchandise they sell.

At the north end of Dilworth Park, the Dilworth Park Café, also managed by Brulee, sells local Passero’s coffee, giving consumers a choice of brands within the park. Center City District is currently working with a Philadelphia-owned business to open a permanent retail location in the northern cafe building in early summer featuring products exclusively from women- and BIPOC-owned local businesses. At winter and summer markets in Dilworth, the park hosts local merchants and makers.

More than 9 million visitors from all neighborhoods in the city and across the region visited Dilworth Park in 2022 coming to enjoy the fountains, the lawn, free concerts by local Philadelphia artists as well as paid ice skating and roller skating.

Revenue from all these activities and from the cafes helps defray some of the costs of maintaining this public park that is available to all.
